CHRISTIAN AID LENT BOXES
The Lent Boxes will be available on Sunday 26th February. As usual, there will be a choice of Christian Aid and ICS (Intercontinental Church Society). ICS starts and supports Churches abroad for English speaking people who are often students, ex-pats
and holiday makers. Please take the box of your choice and write your name and telephone or email by the number of your box in the book. Count Your Blessings will be handed out
with Newsboard to everyone as there is good food for thought even if you are not taking a box. Please return your box on Easter Sunday or soon after. Many thanks.
We are delighted to let you know that we now have a new date for our Charity
Concert with special guests, the Military Wives Choir.
It will now be on Friday 12th May at 7.00pm. For those of you who had already bought
your ticket and have not requested a refund, please do keep hold of it and it will be fine for the concert in May. PLEASE do put this date in your diary and come to support this. It will be a super event but we need you to come along to make it a success.
New rotas are now available for:
● Reader and Intercessors
● 8am Readers and HC Assistants
● HC Assistants and Prayer Ministry
● Midweek Communion
● Staff Worship Rota
There are spare hard copies ready today in the Vestry for you and hopefully if you have access to email, I will have already emailed a copy over to you. THANK YOU SO MUCH to each of you for your help.
Again, it became clear just how many new people we need to come forward to help though. Please pray about this and if you feel that you may be in a position to help, then come and speak to myself or James about this. We would be so grateful. We are told we are the body of Christ and we can only work successfully if we come together to form every part of His
body. The little finger is maybe small but is vital to enable the body to work at it’s best. All of our rota’s need new people including our 8am service as we now have only 3 people who do the reading and the communion between them every week, One more person would make such a difference.
CHANGE OF OFFICE HOURS
For this next week only, the Church Office will be closed on Monday 20th February but open on Thursday 23rd February instead. I hope that this wont cause to much confusion but the week will be back to normal the following week. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
