Praise and Play Nativity 2014

The children began their morning in the church hall and then processed to the church to present the Christmas story in their own unique fashion – as always.

Once again nearly 80 people packed into the church hall.

We all enjoyed crafts organised around an Advent theme, followed by a delicious lunch. A new Advent tradition was introduced  -chips were served after the puddings as the oven was slow to cook such  large quantities!  Then a time to finish off making Advent crowns, lanterns, stars, calendars, a nativity scene and even a word search followed, before we all made our way over to church for a service of light.

Helium balloons depicting “Jesus Light of the World”, and lively music, helped to make this a lively service of life ,energy and celebration. We left feeling the warmth of the fellowship and waving our glow sticks as we sang “walk in the light of Christ”
