Churchyard – Hard work pays off!

CHURCHYARD WORKING PARTIES

The PCC Churchyard Working Group are holding working parties to do essential maintenance to the Churchyard on four Saturday mornings: 8th ,15th, 22nd & 29th June.  We are aiming to get the Churchyard looking as neat, tidy and welcoming as possible and need help with weeding, edging, pruning, strimming, etc.  We’ll meet between 9.30am – 12.30pm on these dates. Please bring any tools and garden sacks that you can. Don’t forget your gloves – there are lots of brambles!  Many hands make light work!  Please bring your own drinks, but cake will be provided!

The Churchyard Working Party have done a marvellous job – cutting the grass and revealing the gravestones, removing ivy from the walls, tidying the edges etc..  Two  benches have been refurbished and the new on is in position.

Well done Workers!

The area is now ready for “Strawberry Teas in the Churchyard” on Saturday 13th July 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
